PPO Organizational Structure
PPO Officer Trustees/Executive Board President
(Elected Positions - The
Executive Board will function as the Principal’s Cabinet by meeting with
the Principal on a monthly basis to discuss issues and identify problems
that affect the entire school. Information will be shared with the
parents at general PPO meetings.)
Freshman Parent Liaison*
Junior Parent Liaison*
(Appointed Positions - Class
parent liaisons work closely with Faculty Advisors and student officers
to plan class fundraisers, social events, and other activities. Offer
assistance with phone chain, chaperones, etc. Meet with parents of
the class several times per year.)
AAST Program Parent Liaison
AVAGC Program Parent Liaison
(Appointed Positions - Program
parent liaisons work closely with faculty Program Managers and staff of
each academy to discuss and resolve individual educational issues that
directly impact their program. In place of Educational Issues Committee
meetings, individual academy program meetings for parents will be set up.
Academy program meetings will meet several times throughout the school
year on alternating months from general PPO meetings, possibly in October,
January, and March.)
*Two individuals may share responsibilities
as Class Parent Liaison, however, only one liaison from each class level
will sit on the Board of Trustees and be a voting member.
PPO Committee Chairs Membership Chair – will collect PPO dues for the entire school Project Graduation Chairs– one per grade level will collect graduation assessments
All of the above positions will make up the PPO Steering Council. Adopted January 10, 2000
